List of churches region:

Religion belongs has always been to people's of the Neumarks lives. Bear witness to countless new and old Church buildings, some of them rather plain, appropriate to the rural living conditions, others impress by the size and design and demonstrate wealth and pride of the builders. There are simple field stone churches, but you will find religious buildings with over one hundred meters high towers too.
The Neumark peoples was before World War II especially Protestants, today prevails the Catholic population. The good condition of many churches is evidence of the religiosity of the current inhabitants, many a church is a real gem.

Church dedicated Blessed Virgin Mary in Banie (Bahn)

Granite church from 13th century. Few times rebuilt. Inside elements from 17th century (altar).
Holy Mass every sunday: 8:30, 11:30 AM, 6:00 PM.

Buildt in XIII century. Partly destroyed during World War II, rebuilt in 1977.

Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Barlinek

Gothic church, the tower is 52 meters high. The church was destroyed by a fire and rebuild in 1852.

After war church was completely destroyed. Rebuilt identical to original in 1991-95.

Church from 15th century.
Holy mass on Sundays: 10:15 AM, Wdnesdays: 5:00 PM
how to find → When you drive from Mieszkowice (Bärwalde/Nm.) direction Chojna (Königsberg/Nm.) than in Wierzchlas (Falkenwalde) take road left. After 2 kilometers you rech Bielin (Bellin). Church is in the center on the crossroads.

Church from 1900.
Holy mass every Sundays: 9:00 AM, Thursday: 5:00 PM. (Parish: Cychry)
how to find → Driving from Kostrzyn (Küstrin) direction Dębno (Neudamm/Nm.) in village Cychry take road right to the center of village and drive further. In the center of village take road right and drive few kilmetres to Bogusław (Batzlow). Church is in the center of village.

Church dedicated to Blessed Virgin Mary in Cedynia (Zehden)

It is old gothic building made of field-stone from XIII century. Walls are 1,3 m. thick. One of the church bells is from 1864 A.D.
Holy mass: Sundays: 8:00, 11:30, 19:00, other days: 18:00

Church dedicated to St. peter and Paul in Chłopowo (Herrendorf)

Holy mass every Sunday at 9:30 AM.
how to find → To get to Chłopowo (Herrendorf) you need to drive from Trzcińsko Zdrój (Bad Schönfließ) south in the direction of Stołeczna (Stolzenfelde) and Piaseczno (Pätzig). Then in Piaseczno take road in the direction of Myślibórz (Soldin) and Chłopowo (Herrendorf). The church is by the main road in Chłopowo (Herrendorf) on a small hill.

Cathedral dediacted to Blessed Virgin Mary in Chojna (Königsberg/Nm.)

Marien Church in Chojna is in restoration since 1986. The initiator of church restoration was german architect Günth er Kumkar. The renovation is mostly sponsored by "fundation for polish-german cooperation".
The church tower is over 102 metres high. It is 6th that high tower in Poland.
Church in Chojna can be visited every day. Near the entrance you can find phone number or you may go to tourist information (not far) and someone from the tourist information may come and open the church. There is also possible visiting of the tower.

Church dedicated to Gods Trinity in Chojna (Königsberg/Nm.)

Buildt in 14th century gothic church. In the beginning it belong to closter of Augustinians. From 1536 to 1690 it was changed to warehouse. Before World War II the church was not used as church, but as gymnasium and fire brigade depot. After the war, it was not so destroyed as the St. Mary church and became a church again. Holy mass on Sundays at: 7:00, 9:00, 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Other days 6:00 PM.
how to find → If you drive thru Chojna (Königsberg/Nm.) direction from to Szczecin (Stettin) than before Town Hall turn right. Drive about 400 m. If you drive from Osinów Dolny than before town hall turn right and after 200 m turn left and next right. Not easy to find.

Church dedicated to St. Stanislaus Kostka / Chapel of Knights Templars in Chwarszczany (Quartschen)

Gothic Chapel from 13th century. Buildt by Knights Templares in the place of former roman chapel. Its architectonical style is connection of sacral and military forms. (Parish: Sarbinowo (Zorndorf))
how to find → When you drive thru Chwarszczany (Quartschen) direction from Mieszkowice (Bärwalde/Nm.) to Kostrzyn (Küstrin) just look on the left side on the road. It is located about 100 meters from the road.

Church dedicated to St. Stanislaus in Cychry (Zicher)

Church made of stone and brick. It was built in beginning of 13th century. It's fundators was probably Knights Templars. Todays tower (previous destroyed during the Sarbinowo Battle) was built in 1768.
Holy mass every Sundays: 12:00 AM, other days: 6:00 PM. (Kościół parafialny)
how to find → If you like to get to Cychry (Zicher) than drive from Kostrzyn (Küstrin) north direction Dębno. Then about 4 kilometres before debno take road left according to road marks. Old Part of Cychry (Zicher) with the church is a little bit further behind the new houses.

Church dedicated to Blessed Virgin Mary of Częstochowa in Czachów (Zachow)

Early-gothic church built probably in the beginning of XIVth century. Made of stone. Inside the church has been found and recovered old (from XIVth centur) paintings. This paintings created in very simply, childlish style are showing the characters of knights, devil, animals and another.
how to find → When you drive from Chojna (Königsberg/Nm.) direction Cedynia (Zehden) , than after village take road right to Łukowice (Altenkirchen) - Czachów (Zachow). Church you will find in the center of village.

Church dedicated to Black Madonna of Częstochowa in Czelin (Zellin)

It was almost completely destroyed and renewed after War.
Holy mass: Sundays: 11:30, Tuesedays and Wednesdays 17:00. (Parish church)
how to find → The best way to get to Czelin (Zellin) is from Mieszkowice (way to Czelin is not far from train station). In Czelin (Zellin) church is in the center of village.

Gothic Church from 13th century, rebuilt in 19th century. Behind the church is located wooden belfry. (Parish: Golenice (Schildberg))
how to find → From Myślibórz (Soldin) drive direction Dębno (Neudamm/Nm.). Than after leaving Myślibórz in village Wierzbnica (Werblitz) take road right to Nawrocko (Liebenfelde) -> Czerników (Zernickow). Church is behind main crossroad in the village Czerników (Zernickow) just before palace gate on the left.

Curch dedicated to Blessed Virgin Mary in Dargomyśl (Darrmietzel)

Church built about 1260. Its fundators were the Knights Templars. The church was painted by the famous German painter Robert Warthmüller as a background for painting -> Der König überall showing the king Friedrich II visiting a potatoe plantation. At that time, the tower had a different look than now.
Holy mass every Sunday: 10:30 AM. (Parish: Cychry)
how to find → From Dębno (Neudamm/Nm.) drive in the direction of Kostrzyn (Küstrin), but near the end of Dębno take the road right in the direction of Dargomyśl (Darrmietzel). In Dargomyśl (Darrmietzel) the church is in the center of the village.

Church from 1827 A.D. Neogothic style. Projected by architect Elchner. Insite are located 2 headstones and crypt in the basement.

Church dedicated to St. Peter and Paul in Dębno (Neudamm/Nm.)

The three-nave church was built about 1855 A.D. based on a design by the architect Flaminius. A church from the 13th century existed in the same place before the present one was constructed.
Inside the chapel there is a sarcophagus which was found in Dębno (Neudamm/Nm.) cemetery.
Holy mass every Sunday: 7:00, 8:30, 10:00, 11:30 AM, 6:00, 9:00 PM. Other days 7:00 AM, 6:00 PM. (Parish church)
how to find → When you drive into Dębno (Neudamm/Nm.) from Kostrzyn (Küstrin), than drive all time straight, and on one of curves inside town - by the square look far left.

Church from 13th century, rebuilt in 18/19th century. In 1974 destroyed by fire. Rebuilt one year later. (Parish: Swobnica (Wildenbruch))

Cross-shaped building made in 1692 from stones with an unusual truss tower. The pulpit in Baroque style and the altar are worth seeing.

Church from 16th century. Tower built in 18th century. During World War II strongly damaged. Rebuilt in beginning of 70'.

Church from 13th century, Made of stone. During World war II partly destroyed. Rebuilded in 1990.
how to find → If you drive from Szczecin (Stettin) to Chojna (Königsberg/Nm.), than in Lisie Pole (Uhtdorf), just before leave the village on the curve turn on the crossing to the right. Than Drive to Nawodna (Nahausen) and in Nawodna after passing church and fire station turn right. You will see Garnowo (Reichenfelde) from a distance.

The church was built as Martin-Luther-Church in 1930 and attracts attention because of its circular shape and the contemporary tower.

how to find → The Church is located on the southern side of the Warta river. Cross the river by the main bridge, then keep left and after a few hundred meters turn right to see the church tower.

Gothic Cistercian Abbey, build in the 14th century, in 18th century extended in Late Baroque style. It now houses a priest seminary, and unfortunately only limited access.
