Mein Deutsh ist nicht so gut, velleicht kann ich bitte in Englisch schreiben? The top photo on this page, I believe is that of the Molkerei Thomas beside the lake. My grandfather Erdman Thomas and his wife Franzeska owned the Molkerei and I remember the church. My parents Werner and Joan Thomas lived at Mohrin. I remember being on a schlitten on the frozen lake in 1940 - I was 5 years old.

Es ist für mich total spannend zu wissen, meine Vorfahren haben hier um 1800 gelebt und einen großen Bauernhof bewirtschaftet. Leider habe ich keine genauen Angaben wo der Hof war. Ich war 2014 dort und habe mir den Ort selbst angesehen. Gern hätte ich mehr erfahren.

Thankyou for your reply and interest. The Molkerei is the building beside the lake in the large picture at the top of the page, the village is behind it, as I recall. I have a photo of my sister and myself on one of the farmer\'s milk wagons beside the loading platform. We had bedrooms on the third floor. The cheeses were matured in the cellar below and there was a big butter churn inside to the right of the loading platform. My apologies for the late reply. Kind regards, John.

Hallo Ingeborg Schulz mein Deutsches grammatik ist nicht gut aber ich kann sie verstehen. Ich habe niemals zuruckkommen vom Weltkrieg, aber die Molkerei Thomas meinen Gosseltern hatte drei Gebaude and ein Kellar fur die Kase, und es war mit Blaustein erbauen. Die Molkerei steht neben der See.Vielen dank, John.

Thankyou, I found them, and the picture of the cheese factory when I clicked on the middle picture. It looks as if the upper part of the building has been rebuilt as I believed that the whole building was built of bluestone.

I wonder if Torsten Belling\'s Grandfather supplied the Thomas Molkerei with milk. Erdman Thomas, the owner was my Grandfather and I was too young when we visited between 1938 and 1942.

Hallo, meine Uroma ist in Klein Wubiser geboren. Ich würde gern mehr über meine Vorfahren erfahren. Der Geburtsname war Frieda Luise Jahnke, der Vater Ernst und die Mutter Bertha Jahnke. Meine Uroma wurde am 12.05.1918 geboren. Es waren auch mehrere Kinder ich meine so 8, sie war die jüngste. Ihr Vater soll Schweizer auf einem Gut gewesen. Leider kann ich sie nicht mehr fragen, sie ist in diesem Frühjahr verstorben. Kann jemand mit den Namen etwas in Verbindung bringen? Eine Geburtsurkunde ist leider auch nicht vorhanden. Auch nicht in Berlin bei dem Standesamt 1.
