ROŚCIN (former:
Rostin)
Rościn (Rostin) is small village located few kilometres south west from Myślibórz (Soldin)
In 18th century in Rościn has been opened the factory of clay pipes. They were produced of special white clay that was extracted in neighbourhood of lake by the village.
The pipes from Rościn was distributed all over the Europe. Today from the building o factory nothing has left.
Today in Rościn are located two churches. One of them - from 18th century is actually in use. Another one from 13th century is in ruin.
Not far from the churches is located baroque palace. Unfortunately it is also close to ruin. Behind the palace is the old garden-park.
Rościn is surrounded by the fields. Not far from village within small woods you can find big boulder marked as natural monument.
Interesting places:
Gothic church from 13th century. Made of granite stones. After World War II it was using as storage. Today church is destroyed and becomes ruin.

Palace has been built by family von Bredow in 18th century. Now the palace is in ruine. It is owned by big cosmetic company that planned to open hotel here, however the project did not moved forward.

Big boulder - 2,1 meter high, 12,5 meters round. It is called "The Devils Stone" (pol. Czarci Głaz), and its german name is "Klickstein".

Driving from Myślibórz (Soldin) you need to pass almost all village Rościn (Rostin). In the end, near by the big cross look for the mark and take road left. After that soon will be next mark to the right.
Than go about 2 kilometres on the firled-road up to the woods. In woods go another 400 metres and look for the mark. |
