Terrains of Neumark region are not typical touristic regions. However on this terrain you can find interesting historical remains, objects of architecture and nature and other attractions.
The advantage is fact that you usually never find yourself in crowd of other tourist, and also fact that mostly the visiting of attractions is free of charge. Below we present some interesting places.
Viev Point Czcibor Mountain near Cedynia (Zehden)
Place on the high shore of Odra River valley, with nice view of Odra, and German river side. Here in 972 A.D. probably took place big battle between Polish and German armies.

Located on the hill inside town. View tower buildt in 1890 A.D. From the top you can see almost all the town, hills, polder, Odra river and part of Germany. Entrance is free of charge, the key is available in the museum.

To get to the view tower you need to go from the Cedynia town square up to the right direction church. Than before the church take road right. After about 200 metres on the left side on the hill you will se the tower. |

Marien Church in Chojna is in restoration since 1986. The initiator of church restoration was german architect Günth
er Kumkar. The renovation is mostly sponsored by "fundation for polish-german cooperation". The church tower is over 102 metres high. It is 6th that high tower in Poland. Church in Chojna can be visited every day. Near the entrance you can find phone number or you may go to tourist information (not far) and someone from the tourist information may come and open the church. There is also possible visiting of the tower.

Baroque palace built in 1850. In its history palace was owned by few german families. last of the owners was family von Oelsen. After World War II in palace was located gardening school and later administration of local State Agricultural Farm. Today palace is private possesion.

Complex of palace and park from 17th century. Palace was built in 17th century and rebuilt later. In end of 17th was created palace-park modified into "english type" with many stones, postuments, monuments, and egzotic trees.

German Military Cemetery in Glinna near Stare Czarnowo (Neumark)
The cemetery is not on the Neumark area, but a lot of Neumark people found there final resting place here, thats why he sould
be mentioned here. In 2001-2003 by the german war graves association VDK the cemetery was created for german soldiers died in World War II and german civil victims of the war, which was reburied from places in Pommern and the Neumark. Finally on its terrain will be located graves of about 30000 peoples.

If we drive to Glinna from Stare Czarnowo, than on the right side we will find the road-mark to bothanic garden and cemetery. Than we need to drive right thru woods about 1-2 km. |

The biggest in Poland and probably the biggest in Europe rock festival - "Woodstock" - takes place every year in the beginning of August in Kostrzyn.

It was nice timber framing type church from 18th/19th century. It survived the World War II and later was not in used and became ruined.

Ruins of church are visible from the border bridge in Krajnik Dolny (Niederkränig) but it is not easy to find them
in the center of village. When you drive from the border direction Chojna (Königsberg/Nm.), than while driving the road up, about 300 metres before the end of village take small sandy road left between the bushes.

When you drive from Kostrzyn (Küstrin) direction , after the village Białcz you follow the street No. 131 right in the direction to Świerkocin (Fichtwerder). You drive till the village Nowiny Wielkie. Some meters after the train crossing you have to drive to a small street right, you will find marks. Some meters later you will find the park on the left side. |

Rests of the so-called East Wall (fortress Warta-Oder-front) in Pniewo (Osterwalde)
The so-called East Wall (officially fortress Warta-Oder-front) was established in 1934 on the eastern border of the former German Reich. At about 32 km long and up to
40 meters depth was an underground fortification system built even driven by a railway - developed from the Berlin U-Bahn operator BVG. In Pniewo, a part of the fortifications can be visited, supplemented by a museum and
other military exhibits. The madness of war is seldom more evident than in the confines of the bunker. However, not only for the Military history enthusiasts, in the East Wall lives thousands
of bats, which you can meet in the shelters.

If you go from Miedzyrzecz to direction Swiebodzin, drive to the village Kalawa. Here you will see near a restaurant a tank. But turn right and drive several kilometers to Pniewo till the end of the road. |

Web: www.ogrodprzelewice.pl In the manor park Przelewice (Prillwitz), created by the german industrialist and passionate dendrologists Conrad von Borsig, there is a beautiful Dendrological garden of rare trees and plants.
A Japanese garden, several ponds and an orangery invite you to walk. Worth seeing is the mausoleum of the mansion and the monument to Conrad von Borsig himself, who was shot and killed by Soviet soldiers n its own park
at the end of the World War II.

Monument in memory of lithuanian pilots near Pszczelnik (Kuhdamm)
Monument in memory of flight and tragical teath of two lithuanian pilots - Steponas Darius and Stasys Girenas. In this place their plane "Lituanica" crashed after flaing non stop from New York (6411 km) just 650 bfore their target - Kaunas, Lithuania. The probably reason of accident was bad weather condition.

Palace has been built by family von Bredow in 18th century. Now the palace is in ruine. It is owned by big cosmetic company that planned to open hotel here, however the project did not moved forward.

Not big chapel from 13th century made of stone. Since 17th century it was used as granary and since 19th century as distillery. Nowadays it is private property.

It is located near museum close to Stare Łysogórki. On the cementary iare burried 1973 polish soldiers that were fighting in 1945 in "Berlin operation". 322 Soldiers are unknown.

Monument of the 1758 Zorndorf battle in Sarbinowo near Kostrzyn (Küstrin)
Reneved monument raised in 2010 on a place of the Zorndorf battle between prussian and russian forces in 1758. The monument was raised in a place of famous and destroyed old monument that was mentioned in the book 'Wanderungen durch die Mark Brandenburg' by the famous german author Theodor Fontane. Many years old monument was only a pile of stones, where in 1758 the general hill
of the prussian king Friedrich II was.
