WITNICA CHOJEŃSKA (former: Vietnitz)
Interesting places:
Palace was built by Family von Oelsen in years 30' of 19th century, on a place where in 1827 burned the former
palace of Family von Sack. In 1955 and 1975 toke place renovations of palace. On march 29th 1990 palace was destroyed
by the fire. Palace is on the historical remains list so it can't be completely destroyed. However there are plans to remove
it from historical obiects list and demolish it completely.

When you drive from Mieszkowice (Bärwalde/Nm.) direction Chojna (Königsberg/Nm.) then you can leave your car in Witnica Chojeńska (Vietnitz) on the left side of road on small car park behind the bus stop.
Than walk about 200 metres back and take small road between brick wall oposite the big farm buildings (when going from Mieszkowice this road is on the right). Than go direction park and walk the path.
The palace will be 200 metres behind first trees. |
