Religion belongs has always been to people's of the Neumarks lives. Bear witness to countless new and old
Church buildings, some of them rather plain, appropriate to the rural living conditions, others impress
by the size and design and demonstrate wealth and pride of the builders.
There are simple field stone churches, but you will find religious buildings with over one hundred meters high towers too.
The Neumark peoples was before World War II especially Protestants, today prevails the Catholic population.
The good condition of many churches is evidence of the religiosity of the current inhabitants, many a church is a
real gem.
Chapel from the middle of the 15th century. Not far away was an hospital and a poorhouse, dedicated to the Holy Gertraud.

Gothic church from 13th century. Made of granite stones. After World War II it was using as storage. Today church is destroyed and becomes ruin.

Church dedicated to Sacred Heart in Rzepin (Reppen)
Church built in 13th century and rebuilt in neogothic style in 1878. On the northern side is located small chapel from 15th century. Holy mass every Sundays: 8:00, 9:30, 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM.

Church dedicated to Jesus the Savior in Sitno (Schönfeld)
Church from brick and stone. Buildt in 1849. On the tower is old bell from 1617. Holy mass every Sundays at 11:00 AM and Thursdays at 5:00 PM.

Church from 18th century, made by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Since the 13th century is a church here, since 1550 there is taking place the knightly accolade ot the Knights of St. John. Have a look to the wonderful windows, which shows the crests of 92 knights, which died in the 1th World War, and the worthy to see altar.

This quite ugly and new building has interesting story. It was built in 80's by priest Lech Stasiewski. Because Stare Łysogórki (Alt-Lietzegöricke) did not have any church and people had to walk to Gozdowice (Güstebiese), and comunistic authorities did not permit to build the church. In that case the priest declared that he is building the sheep-fold. Quick before finish the building was sacrified in secret, and it was too late for intervention.

Not easy to find. In Łysogórki, when you stop in fron of shop and restaurant than go to the road oposite. There is small sandy road. You need to go about 300 m and than take road left and go another 200 m. |

Granite church built in 14th/15th century. In 1896 rebuildt. In 1902 hardly destroyed by fire. Parish church. Holy Mass on sundays 9:00 and 11:00 AM.
